So, the latest two Spider-Man games are Marvel’s Spider-Man and Spider-Man: Miles Morales. Marvel’s Spider-Man was originally released for the PS4. Spider-Man: Miles Morales has two versions, (1)The standalone version and (2)The Ultimate Version which comes paired with Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered for the PS5. If you buy the ultimate version, you will receive Miles Morales in the disk form and a PS Code which can be redeemed for the Remastered Version. However, if you only purchased the Spiderman Miles Morales version, then you won’t receive the code. However, you can get the Remastered version for a small additional price of around $30. Once you make the purchase, it can be downloaded to your PS5.
But it should be noted that the place to purchase the remastered version of spider-man is a bit hidden/subtle. You cannot find it in the Playstation Store if you search for it. It has to be purchased from inside the Miles Morales game.
Here is how you can get the Marvel’s Spider Man: Remastered if you have Spider-Man: Miles Morales.
Insert the Miles Morales disk and run the game (Run the game if you only have the digital version).
Press X to start the game. It will take you to the subway scene where you can see Miles on a train.
On the bottom, there will be a text that says, “L1 Upgrade to the Ultimate Edition”.
Press L1 on your PS Controller.
The next prompt will say something like,
Upgrade to the Ultimate Edition
If you previously purchased a physical copy of the Ultimate Edition, you can redeem your voucher code for Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered below. If you do not have an Ultimate Edition code, use the purchase option to upgrade.

So, below will be two options, “Redeem Voucher Code” and “Purchase Upgrade”.
Choose the Purchase Upgrade option.
On the next screen, you will be shown the price and the checkout options. Make the payment and download the game.
Once downloaded and installed, Marvel’s Spiderman: Remastered will be in your game library. It is a shiny polished version of the original Marvel’s Spiderman released for the PS4. This download will contain all the DLCs for the original game i.e. Marvel’s Spider-Man: The City That Never Sleeps. And it will be cheaper than the Game of the Year edition currently available for PS4 at the PlayStation Store.
